The Fraunhofer Society

The Fraunhofer Society is one of the leading organizations for applied research world-wide. The Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems (IAIS) is Fraunhofer’s “data institute”, and one of the most renowned research institutions in the data science area, with an extremely strong track record in data mining, machine learning, semantic technologies, information retrieval and software engineering.  

IAIS has also an outstanding track record in exploitation and transfer of research results. Through its business consulting networks and CRM database, IAIS has strong ties to all large German companies and a significant share of Germany’s SMEs and startups.  

Role in the project:  

IAIS will mainly contribute to the e-VITA project by offering speech processing technologies, data modelling, semantic representation, and dialogue management components. IAIS is a major contributor to WP5 and its EU leader.
